For two unforgettable weeks, we had the pleasure of hosting a group of enthusiastic students from Poland here in Istanbul, Turkey!
Throughout the program, our participants took part in a series of engaging activities designed to strengthen cultural understanding and promote language learning. From interactive workshops and city tours to creative language challenges, every moment was an opportunity to learn, share, and connect.
The students discovered the fascinating blend of modern and traditional Turkish culture, while also sharing unique aspects of Polish customs and daily life. Together, they compared traditions, explored similarities and differences, and realized that cultural diversity can be a powerful bridge that brings people closer.
Language games and communication exercises helped everyone to break barriers and gain confidence in using both Polish and Turkish phrases. Beyond the classroom, participants visited Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks — from the Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar to the lively streets of Kadıköy — where they experienced the city’s dynamic rhythm and warm hospitality.
Of course, no cultural exchange would be complete without sharing music, dance, and food! The students enjoyed traditional Turkish dishes and also introduced their Polish favorites, creating moments of laughter, curiosity, and friendship.
This exchange program reminded us all that learning goes far beyond books — it’s about curiosity, empathy, and open-mindedness. Together, we celebrated not only our differences but also the universal values that unite us as people.
