Through workshops, cultural visits, and language games, our participants explored both Polish and Turkish traditions, discovering the beauty of intercultural dialogue. For two unforgettable weeks, we had the pleasure of hosting a group of enthusiastic students from Poland here in Istanbul, Turkey!Throughout the program, our participants took part in a series of engaging activities designed to strengthen cultural understanding and promote language learning. From interactive workshops and city tours to creative language challenges, every moment was an opportunity to learn, share, and connect. The students discovered the fascinating blend of modern and traditional Turkish culture, while also sharing unique aspects of Polish customs and daily life. Together, they compared traditions, explored similarities and differences, and realized that cultural diversity can be a powerful bridge that brings people closer. Language games and communication exercises helped everyone to break barriers and gain confidence in using both Polish and Turkish phrases. Beyond the classroom, participants visited Istanbul’s most iconic landmarks — from the Hagia Sophia and Grand Bazaar to the lively streets of Kadıköy — where they experienced the city’s dynamic rhythm and warm hospitality. Of course, no cultural exchange would be complete without sharing music, dance, and food! The students enjoyed traditional Turkish dishes and also introduced their Polish favorites, creating moments of laughter, curiosity, and friendship. This exchange program reminded us all that learning goes far beyond books — it’s about curiosity, empathy, and open-mindedness. Together, we celebrated not only our differences but also the universal values that unite us as people. The curriculum encompassed various practical topics, including assessing organizational strengths and weaknesses, selecting and implementing effective marketing strategies, efficient human resource management, and leveraging online advertising platforms. However, the learning experience was only one aspect of their time in Turkey. The group also immersed themselves in Turkish culture, explored the local community’s historical heritage, engaged in commerce, and indulged in Turkish cuisine. One of the highlights was participating in river rafting, an exhilarating activity that fostered team bonding and provided a memorable adventure for all involved. Additionally, students had the opportunity to observe marketing practices firsthand during visits to local markets, engaging with Turkish locals and vendors. Participants from UTW Łazy, UTW Koziegłowy, and FCIL representatives acquired a range of competencies, including linguistic proficiency (English during the course and Turkish on-site), cultural understanding (experiencing Turkish culture and comparing it to Polish), substantive knowledge (in marketing and advertising), and interpersonal skills (networking and social integration). Each participant received a Europass Mobility certificate, recognized and valued across the European Community, as confirmation of their participation. Similar to the previous mobility program in Turkey, this project was facilitated by Fundacja Centrum Inicjatyw Lokalnych under its Erasmus Adult Education Accreditation and supported by European Union funding. Go Up Academy Istanbul served as the host organization for the group.
